Treatment

There are always times when treatment beyond the scope of an outpatient visit becomes necessary.

From dentals to leg fractures, and from diabetes to heart failure, our staff is trained to deal with a wide range of procedures and ongoing medical conditions.

Our treatment area is also our hospital and ICU ward. This allows constant monitoring of critical patients. For pets on intravenous fluids, we have IV pumps to ensure a steady flow of fluids and medications. We even have blood and plasma available on-site for patients requiring a transfusion as part of their therapy.

Dentals

Under the supervision of a doctor, our Registered Veterinary Technicians will perform routine dental cleanings on your pets, removing tartar and extracting any diseased teeth. Pets are monitored closely from the time they are anesthetized until they are awake and alert.

Dentals and altering surgeries must be scheduled in advance. Three to five days notice is typically plenty of time.

Surgery

We have two surgery suites where procedures like spays and neuters, mass removals and laceration repairs, and even advanced fixation of broken bones can be performed.

This allows us to perform multiple procedures at once, increasing the number of patients that we can help in the course of a day.

All of our anesthesia machines are equipped with additional monitoring equipment which will alert us of any changes in the condition of our patients.

This is one of our surgical monitors capable of measuring heart rate, respiration rate, and core body temperature. It also records constant ECG tracings, blood pressure and blood oxygen content.

By easily allowing us to monitor a patient's vital signs, machines like this help us make surgery safer for your pet and can help us save a life if an unforeseen critical situation arises.
