Diagnostics

North Valley Veterinary Laboratory

In January of 2002, we were proud to partner with North Valley Veterinary Laboratory which relocated their main office from Red Bluff into our new facility to provide on-site, high-quality diagnostics. NVVL is the largest veterinary laboratory north of Sacramento.

Their dedicated staff of California Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientists are highly skilled in analyzing blood and body fluids to assist your veterinarian in making an accurate diagnosis of your pet's condition.

Their analyzers are identical to those found in human acute care hospitals. This technology reduces the anxious waiting time for your pet's lab results from one or two days down to a few hours, or even minutes in emergency cases.

We are enjoying our association with NVVL and hope that you and your pet can benefit from the service they provide.

Ultrasound, Endoscopy & Telemedicine

In addition to our in-house laboratory, we also have ultrasound and endoscopy equipment available and associated telemedicine capabilities.

Ultrasound can allow us better visualization of internal disease processes such as bladder stones, tumors and heart problems.

Endoscopy also allows visualization of internal disease or problems involving the nasal and oral cavities and the gastrointestinal tract.

With both ultrasound and endoscopy we can perform guided biopsies of suspicious tissues.

Our telemedicine equipment gives us the ability to send the digitalized images of slides or even a scanned x-ray to specialists who will examine it, and provide additional diagnostic information based on their specialized training and the medical history of the patient.

This can provide our doctors, and you, the critical information we need to ensure your pet's health.
