How to get to the hospital

VCA Asher Animal Hospital is located at 2505 Hilltop Drive in Redding, CA. We are just north of the Cypress & Hilltop intersection, on the east side of Hilltop Drive, directly across from Big5 Sporting Goods, and adjacent to IHOP.

From the SOUTH

If you are coming from Anderson or Red Bluff:

• Come north on I-5 into Redding.
• Take the Cypress Ave. Exit.
• There is a stoplight at the bottom of the exit ramp-turn right.
• The next light is Hilltop Drive-turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.

If you are coming from Happy Valley/Anderson

• Come up the Old Highway (273)
• Turn right on Cypress (the first light past Gene's Drive In, just past the park)
• Follow Cypress to Hilltop Drive. (There are approximately 6 lights.)
• There are stoplights on either side of the I-5 overpass. The first light past the exit ramps is Hilltop. Turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.

From the EAST

From Palo Cedro

• Take Highway 44 into Redding
• Take the Friendly Dr. Exit (like you were going to CostCo).
• Turn left on Dana Drive (the stop light at the exit).
• Follow Dana until it dead-ends at Hilltop.
• Turn left.
• You will go through several stoplights. The light at Marie Calendar's is the last light before you reach our clinic. We are on the left-hand side about half a block north from Cypress.
• Look for the State Farm insurance company, and the International House of Pancakes, which is an A-frame building with a blue roof. We are immediately south of IHOP.

From Burney

• Take Highway 299 East to I-5 South.
• Head south on I-5 until you reach the Cypress Ave Exit.
• At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto Cypress Ave.
• The very next light is the north-bound exit ramps; the light after that is Hilltop Drive. Turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.

From the NORTH

From Shasta Lake City

• Head south on I-5 until you reach Redding
• Take the Cypress Ave Exit.
• At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto Cypress Ave.
• The very next light is the north-bound exit ramps; the light after that is Hilltop Drive. Turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.

From the WEST

From West Redding, Whiskeytown

This is probably the most difficult route to describe, because downtown Redding is rather convoluted. There are two main routes from West Redding to the East side of Redding, Cypress Ave & Old 44.

Old 44

• If you are coming from the Eureka Way area, or via 299 West
• Follow the signs to I-5 south. This will put you on Highway 44 heading east.
• Take the exit from Hwy 44 to I-5 south. Do not merge onto I-5, stay in the exit lane. This should be the Cypress Ave Exit.
• At the bottom of the exit ramp (stoplight), turn left onto Cypress Ave.
• The very next light is the north-bound exit ramps; the light after that is Hilltop Drive. Turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.

Cypress Ave

This one is a little more complicated.

• You can follow Market Street around the downtown mall to where it splits into 273 and turns onto Cypress. Turn left to get onto Cypress Ave.
• Follow Cypress to Hilltop Drive. (There are approximately 6 lights.)
• There are stoplights on either side of the I-5 overpass. The first light past the exit ramps is Hilltop. Turn left.
• We are the second building on the right hand side.
