A little about us ...

Asher Animal Hospital was founded in 1960 by Gerald Asher, DVM. Dr. Asher has since retired, but the clinic still bears his name and maintains it's original location on Hilltop Drive. The building and some of the faces have changed, but it has always been our goal to provide state-of-the-art veterinary medicine in a warm, friendly setting.

We currently have nine doctors on staff, including our two newest, the first participants of our internship program.

Our newly remodeled hospital includes two surgery suites, an ultrasound/endoscopy room, isolation ward, telemedicine equipment, and a full-service laboratory. Our full-time staff includes a board-certified internal medicine specialist and we enjoy weekly rounds with a radiology specialist to discuss in-house cases. We will soon feature monthly visits by a specialist in veterinary ophthalmology.

In addition, we have access to a wide range of board-certified specialists available through Veterinary Centers of America and via our telemedicine equipment.

We currently have four Registered Veterinary Technicians on staff, and we encourage all of our technicians to further their education through the RVT program at the local community college.

We are open seven days a week, with the exception of major holidays. Our hours are from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Most of our services are available on a walk-in basis including routine visits, office calls, and vaccinations.

We are also one of the only emergency clinics in the region with a doctor on the premises 24 hours a day.
